Warrior completed high school at Fountain Central High School in Veedersburg, Indiana. He attended Indiana State University for a year, but did not complete his degree. Inspired by famous bodybuilder Robby Robinson, he pursued bodybuilding and participated in various competitions, including winning the prestigious NPC Mr. Georgia title in 1984 while attending Life University in Georgia, where he studied chiropractic for a short time.
